Taking a history from Sister J,86

me: morning sister,im a medical student. can i have a little chat wif ya?
S.J: what?
me: (repeat the dialog again)
S.J:(looks blur)
me: (repeat again,with louder pitch)
S.J: ooo,no problem. Where are you from?
me: I'm from Malaysia..(senyum2)
S.J:ooo,are you convert?
me:erk?(dalam hati,sapa kena amik history sapa ni,plus aku ni nampak mcm convert ke?convert ke mana?islam ke christianity ke,christianity ke islam?confused2...

last2,aku auscultate lung die jer,sbb communication breakdown..haha

situasi 2:

Taking a history from Mr JC,56,presented to the Accident&Emergency due to suprapubic pain n jaundice.

me:so,do you drink?
JC: yup,socially.
me:Good(begin to scribble it down)
JC: you know,a bottle of wine,couple pints of beer, every night.
me:(speechless,but my face blurted out is-this-social-to-you? kind of expression)
JC:(big grin).gotcha!!

situasi 3:

ni masa ENT rota, having breakfast with the ENT team.
Guan (special registrar n he's malaysian!): owh,how i miss having nasi lemak during breakfast.(lebih kurang la ayt die,aku dah xigt)
Paul (registrar yang hensem gila macam model): what is nasi lemak?
Guan : (explaining what nasi lemak is)
Me: owh, i can cook nasi lemak.
Guan: (turn to Paul,pointing to me)She can cook nasi lemak!(with an excited face)
Paul : (turn to me,smile) Marry me.
Me: (sengih2 ,speechless..haha..sengal)(tapi dalam hati: with plessure..haha)

Situasi 4:

ni joke from sorang kawan di PMC,

J: uncle,pernah ada TB tak?
Uncle: ada,kat rumah, 29inches.
J:errr(+ tahan gelak),bukan2,ni yang batuk2 punya

Despite the pressure, the early morning ward rounds, the get-me-to-the-nerve situations, the silli-willy fake smiles when u cant answer the questions n etc, im actually begin to like the clinical stuff.it's fun..

masa mula2 dulu,rasa jugak la pressure. rasa xleh nak cope,rasa takut nak berhadapan dengan patient,doctors,consultants. dulu masa minggu pertama,depress gile yang rasa mcm nak quit jer( never have that feeling bfore,n that was the first,n hope to be the last as well). tapi Alhamdullillah,after consult dengan kawan2 dr uni lain,aku dah boleh coping.im still coping tho.

hmm,lagi 48 hari nak balik malaysia..:).this is the best motivation so far.:)
